DIMACS REU: Shift Equivalence
John Wilmes is a student of mathematics at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he is a Goldwater scholar. Thanks to the influence of Professor Irena Swanson, he has developed a hearty interest in algebra in particular. He has previously worked on a summer research project in combinatorics, completed a Google Summer of Code project, and developed cheminformatics capabilities for the Laboratory for the Design of Bioactive Molecules.
