Chemical Spill Shuts Down CAS
Justin Schnurer

There was a knock on my classroom door. Schemm crossed the room and answered it. For a few moments the only sound was hurried whispering in the doorway. We students glanced around the room at each other anxiously, awaiting the news.

Schemm turned back towards the class and finally spoke, Ladies and gentlemen, we have to evacuate the building. Thats all I know. As the class descended into confusion, I noticed a stern look of determination cross Schemms face and instantly knew what was going on. I remembered that look. Last year Schemm and I went on a journey to Green Bay and he wore that mask of resolve the whole time.

Schemm held the doors open so the students could escape the building. I was the last in line.

Come on. You need to get out of the building quickly! Schemm said to me.

I stopped and my determined gaze met his. Theyre here, arent they? What did public safety tell you?

They didnt tell me anything But theyre here. I can sense them. Theyre downstairs. Schemm replied.

So what are we waiting for? Lets go! I exclaimed.

Schemm smiledy evilly, Lets do this.

When we reached the basement, our fears were confirmed. A gunshot rang out and we turned in time to see a police officer being attacked by a zombie!

We ran to his aid and threw the zombie off of him. I grabbed his gun and aimed at the undead.

Wait! yelled Schemm. Dont waste ammo. He growled. Schemm approached the demon carefully and grabbed it from behind. With a swift jerk, he broke its neck with his bare hands.

Theyre everywhere, gasped the policeman. You have to cleanse the building before they escape. With that he died. Schemm reached over the dead policeman and quietly broke his neck.

You cant be too sure, he said grimly. What a badass, I thought.

So we had our missioncleanse the building of the undead infestation. We started searching the basement harvesting undead souls. After I was out of pistol ammo, we had to use whatever weapons we could findscissors, staplers, Schemm even killed a few with a bent paper clip. Between us, the body count was in the triple digits. After our ordeal in Green Bay, this was a cakewalk. Before long, we finished taking out the trash and slipped out the back.

We knew we had to keep quiet about the incident and later, when asked about what had really happened we responded simply, Not much. Just had to get our hands a little dirty.
