The Big O

On Thursday, January the 18th, Dorian Solot and Marshall Miller came to Lake State and gave a presentation dedicated to women and the female orgasm. Student attendance was amazing, and one can only assume why. Solot and Miller travel around the country giving presentations like these and Activities Board made it possible for a presentation at LSSU. Solot and Miller discussed many things including how old many women are when they have their first orgasm, how often they can orgasm, and how they came about getting them. This session was open to all students of Lake State, males, females, and students of all orientations, but predominantly was geared toward the women. About half way through the presentation the men and women were split into two rooms because Solot and Miller thought that the women would be more likely to share experiences and thoughts without the men sitting right next to them. Solot and the women stayed put while Miller took the men into a different room. Miller discussed issues and different insights with the men about female sexuality and the big O. Also discussed was their own sexuality, how to please women, and tips to help prolong sexual activity. In the other room, Solot did a few exercises with the females to help them better understand orgasms. The women started discussing different ways to reach orgasm including role-playing, fantasies, and even stripper poles. After the men came back into the room, both shared what they had talked about as well as personal experiences and heartfelt stories. T-shirts, buttons and hats were sold, and order forms were available for their book I Love Female Orgasm: From Right There to Oh, Yeah! and Everything in Between, which will be published in April.
