Is Lake State Digging Itself Into Another Hole?

Construction tape has been up all over campus, leaving a lot of students wondering why. According to Rick Waligora, Physical Plant Director, the Physical Plant does annual preventive maintenance to all sewer lines to keep them clear. They go through and take a giant rota-rooter and clean out all the roots that find themselves in the pipeline (due to our lovely trees) and they also look for cracks and leaks due to age and general wear and tear. Apparently a pipe between Crawford Hall and the Library acquired a crack in it, which is why they had to tear up the sidewalk. They brought in the required machinery and replaced the cracked pipe and all the dirt that our sludge has polluted.
