Naval Base at South Hall

Earlier in the news today President Bush announced that he will be setting up more secure necessaries for homeland security. In this bill the President looked across the country at any trade venues he personally found to be subject to terrorist attacks. He noted that the Sault Locks were one of the four to be most likely attacked. He already has had the bill approved by Congress to set up a Naval Base here in Sault Michigan and this base is to be stationed at the former (BELS) Business, Economics and Legal Studies building located next to Crawford hall and across from the Library.
We need a more secure nation, and to do this we must look at our country from all angles, said the President in his speech Tuesday. He held a luncheon with Gallagher, and then he addressed the press and answered the questions over the bill. In this bill South Hall will be totally demolished and an exact replica will be created from the bricks that are left over and not totally smashed. It is estimated that the construction of this new Naval Base will take up to three years and it is expected that Lake State and its students should do their civil and patriotic duty and help with the costs of creating this new Naval Base. So every year starting in the Fall of 2007 tuition will go up $350 dollars and $100 dollars every semester until the project is complete.
The Presidents wishes for all students at Lake State is to understand the dire need for a secure nation, and that by creating this new Naval Base we will only ensure our future as Lake State students but the future of future Lake State students as well.
