Battery Recalls

Everyone loves batteries. They run our hand held games, portable CD/DVD players, and our  mp3 players, but they are not always safe. Two major computer manufacturers have announced major recalls on batteries in all of their major laptop models. 
According to Dell's battery recall website http://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/, there are a number of battery recalls for the Dell Latitude, Inspiron, Precision, and XPS. These numbers are the following models of computer that may contain faulty batteries:
Latitude: D410, D500, D505, D510, D520, D600, D610, D620, D800, D810 
Inspiron: 500M, 510M, 600M, 700M, 710M, 6000, 6400, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400, E1505, E1705 
Precision: M20, M60, M70, M90 
XPS: XPS, XPS Gen2, XPS M170, XPS M1710 
Just because your model number is on this list does not mean it was recalled. Visit the website to check your serial number. You will also have to log on to the website mentioned above to identify your battery and get it sent away and replaced.

	For the 15-inch PowerBook G4 with battery model: A1078 and A1148
