Earlier this week fliers critical of LSSUs administration and student services were anonymously posted on public bulletin boards across campus
The 8 x 11.5 poster included unsubstantiated claims of fraud and incompetence relating to the institutions implementation of the multi-year Banner administrative software as well as questions to the general student population regarding the quality of service received while enrolling for classes this fall. The posters were in violation of the Student Life Offices policy of requiring prior approval before posting.
In a written response to the posting, Vice President for Enrollment Services, William Eilola and Joe Herbig, Vice President for Finance commented that not knowing who or what organization initiated the posting makes it difficult to have any kind of meaningful dialogue. The Vice Presidents described the rapid fire manner of their staffs efforts during the ongoing computer system conversion as admirable and believe the campus community understands the magnitude of the 3-5 year project.
According to Hilary Kozma, Student Government President, Student Government has the goal of hearing the voices of students and getting their concerns resolved. As the president of Student Government, I understand the problems that the student assembly is currently having. I have worked over the past weeks to get these exact issues resolved, and Student Government will continue to work to hear your concerns and get them resolved. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns, but remember there are ways to do it so that your voice will be heard. Pass issues on to Student Government so that we can serve you to the best of our ability.
