The Native American Center hosted an open house on October 18 from noon until 3pm. All students, faculty and staff were invited and a good number of visitors stopped by to see the facilities and have a bite to eat.

Jeff Gaus led a brief tour of the center, explaining that the center is a Student resource, open to all students. The normal hours are 9-5 but arrangements to use the facilities can be made. The center houses a computer lab with high-speed internet hookup, color printers, a scanner and copier. The offices for the Student Organization for Diversity and PRIDE are located upstairs and the Native American Student Organization holds its meetings at the center. The building also includes a kitchen and living room and everyone is encouraged to make themselves at home. Gaus said that there are Lots of commuters, so they come here and eat, take a nap and relax between classes.

The Native American Center hosts potluck lunches every second Wednesday of the month from 12-3 and an open invitation is extended to everyone on campus.
