Killswitch Engage is releasing their new album As Daylight Dies on November 21st. Also known as KsE in short, the band has made a very excellent new album. You will expect to hear a variety of powerful riffs as well as driving vocals that speak of positive change and optimism. Releasing their first album in 2000, the band has been busy in the past six years releasing four albums including As Daylight Dies. While touring with Shadows Fall and In Flames they were signed by Ferret Records. After the debut album was released, Roadrunner Records signed them because of the potential they saw.

A few bands on the Roadrunner label are Trivium, Cradle of Filth and Stone Sour. Roadrunner means business in the metal community and KsE definitely exceeds the expectations with the new album.

KsE will be on tour with Bury Your Dead, Hatebreed and 2 Cents. They will be playing in Grand Rapids on December 8th and in Flint on the 11th at the Machine Shop. If you are able to go see one of these it is recommended because they are really good. Killswitch falls into the genre of metal core and is part of the rebirth of modern metal. The songs are balanced melodic songs that never are afraid to show their brutality.

Fans of As I Lay Dying and Bullet For My Valentine will feel very comfortable listening to these Massachusetts men doing what they do best. Buy the new album because it will be excellent driving music on your way home for Thanksgiving. Dont forget to request KsE when youre listening to a live show on 90.1FM. The songs My Curse and For You are the songs you should request because they are a treat to head bang to.
