Each gif starts out with the original 1KX5 nucleosome structure and is transformed slowly into a new structure with a certain subset of the basepair parameters changed to constant average values for protein-DNA complexes. The movies help highlight the sequence dependent functional significance of the various basepair parameters in the nucleosome structure.
