Ken Zhao

About Me

I am an undergraduate student in between my junior and senior years in a dual degree program at NYU/Stevens at the end of which I will receive a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. I plan to pursue a graduate degree when I graduate. I am currently researching large-scale planetary waves and jets with Prof. K. Shafer Smith at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (Center for Atmosphere Ocean Science) at New York University. Also, I am also working on discrete element simulations using Multiphase Flow with Interphase eXchanges (MFIX) with Prof. D. Boyalakuntla at the Stevens Institute. Some of my hobbies include classical piano, trumpet, french horn and oil-painting. I was once in a band, which was a lot of fun.
